Fateh Burj is the tallest Minar in India which is located in Chappar Chiri village in Mohali, Punjab. It is a historical monument that is spread over 20-acre land. It was built in 2011 and it took only 11 months to make this historic building.

Fateh Burj has a special place in Sikh history. Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, the great Sikh warrior established the Sikh rule in India.

This Tallest Minar in India is dedicated to the victory of Sikh groups in a large part of India in 1711.  In 1710 Baba Banda Singh Bahadur won the battle against Mughal governor Wazir khan. Wazir Khan was killed at Chappar Chiri.

These mounds have the statues of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and his five generals named Bhai Fateh Singh, Bhai Aali Singh, Bhai Mali Singh, Bhai Baj Singh, and Bhai Ram Singh.

Bhai Mali Singh was one of five generals of Baba banda Singh Bahadur and he was the brother of Bhai Ali Singh. He fought with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur in the battle against the Mughal army.

Bhai Aali Singh was with the Mughal army and then became a part of Baba Banda Singh’s army. He worked with Banda Singh Bahadur while fighting against the Mughal army.

Bhai Baj Singh was the first governor of the Khalsa army and fought even after getting caught by the Mughal army.

Bhai Fateh Singh joined the army in the battle against the Mughal army with many other soldiers.

Bhai Ram Singh also fought with Baba Banda Singh Bahadur in the Battle against the Mughal army.

This Tallest Minar in India has three levels which have its own importance. The first level represents the victory of Samana, the second level represents the victory of Sadhura and the third level represents the victory of Chappar Chiri.

The place has a café and an open theatre where the laser show is held on special occasions. This laser show is the major tourist attraction of this place.

It is located 20km from Chandigarh airport and 15km from the Chandigarh bus terminal. It is better to take a cab because there is no public transport nearby.

The Tallest Minar in India is open from Tuesday to Sunday, and on Monday it is closed. It is open from 9 am-7 pm. You should visit this place at the time of sunset because it doubles the beauty of this place.
